Hello! We are steve and lianna freeman, and we have built a crossfit box out of our pole barn here in davenport, wa.
we are here to empower our community with a fun and supportive environment through crossfit’s unique programming and methodology. at our gym you will learn solid foundational and functional movements that will improve your strength, stamina, flexibility, coordination, balance, and overall health. we are here to help you with your journey and support you from wherever you’re starting.
Steve Freeman - Owner/Trainer (CF-L1)
I have been doing crossfit since 2017. i played sports in high school, and got plenty of exercise in the Army until i got out of the service in 2008. After that, i did not have much of a consistent fitness program, and i sure didn’t eat very well. After gaining 60 ibs and getting winded from climbing a flight of stairs, i figured it was time get back into shape for my family, and myself. after starting crossfit, i enjoyed it so much that i wanted to keep going. it created a healthy fitness habit, and from that made me want to start eating better as well. i continue to work towards healthy eating and exercise in my life, and i want to share that journey with my local community. my goal is that i can help others down the same path i started, and that we can all help and encourage our community to live a healthier, happier, and more fit life!
Lianna Freeman - Owner/Manager (CF-L1)
I first found CrossFit in 2010, when a friend challenged me to try it while I was training for a triathlon. They told me that switching to CrossFit one hour a day, for a few days a week as my training would better prepare me to compete than the hours a day I was spending running, biking and swimming. I signed up and trained at my local CrossFit for a couple of months before the race. In my first ever sprint tri, I placed 3rd in my age group and won a medal! The best part was that during those months of training, I met and made deep bonds with my fellow crossfitters that continue to this day. CrossFit has stood the test of time in my life and helped me be the best version of myself. There is something special about the CrossFit community in which the last person to finish (which in the beginning, was usually me) is the hardest to be cheered on. It’s not only the sport of fitness, it’s the sport of heart!
Karrie Wilson - Trainer (CF-L1)
I have lived in the Spokane area for about 15 years, but I still consider the Portland area “home.” Right now, I live in Spokane Valley with my husband and 3 fur babies. By day, I am an accountant at a local electric and gas company. I have been doing CrossFit for seven years and it was love at first workout! Never having been an athlete myself, it feels empowering to be strong and the fittest of my life. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, learning new things, traveling and of course, talking about CrossFit :)
Nancy Smith - Yoga Instructor
I have always tried to stay active throughout my adult years, but time, age and just everyday life began to take a toll on my health. I began practicing yoga routinely about 10 years ago and after a few days of sore muscles, I was feeling stronger, more flexible and my everyday posture improved considerably. The arthritis pain and weakness in my wrists also diminished noticeably. The strength, flexibility and balance that I have gained from regular yoga practice has transferred to the other activities that I enjoy; mountain biking, swimming and hiking. And it's helping me to keep up with my toddler grandson, well most of the time!
